About Us
Welcome to Queen City Conjure Queen City Conjure was born from a deep reverence for the sacred traditions of hoodoo and rootwork—spiritual practices rooted in My Journey into Hoodoo & Conjure. My path into this work began —years ago, as a child, through family, through study]. I was drawn to hoodoo because I wanted to understand my purpose in the universe as well as understand the gift of life by my creator—family heritage, spiritual calling, desire to learn ancestral practices. Over the years, I've dedicated myself to learning from [mentors, elders, books, oral traditions, personal practice], studying the traditional uses of roots like High John the Conqueror, lodestones, sacred herbs, and the spiritual significance of planetary days and moon phases. This isn't just a business—it's a spiritual practice and a commitment to preserving and honoring the traditions that have shaped hoodoo for centuries.Cultural Respect & Honoring the Roots I want to be clear: hoodoo is an African American spiritual tradition, born from the experiences of enslaved Africans in the American South who blended their ancestral knowledge with the materials and circumstances they found here. It is not mine to claim ownership of, but it is mine to respect, study, and serve.Queen City Conjure exists to honor these traditions with integrity. I am committed to avoiding cultural appropriation, acknowledging the origins of this sacred work, and ensuring that the products I create reflect the authentic practices passed down through generations of rootworkers and conjure practitioners. How Our Products Are Prepared Every oil, floor wash, mojo bag, and ritual item at Queen City Conjure is handcrafted in small batches with intention and care. I work according to traditional hoodoo practices:Planetary Days: Products are prepared on the appropriate days of the week aligned with their purpose—Venus for love, Mars for protection and strength, Jupiter for prosperity, Saturn for banishing.Moon Phases,Timing matters. I honor the waxing moon for drawing and growth, the full moon for power, and the waning moon for release and banishing work.Traditional Ingredients I source authentic roots, herbs, and curios—High John the Conqueror root, lodestones, graveyard dirt (ethically gathered), sacred oils, and more—ensuring quality and respect for the materials.Prayers & Blessings. Each product is blessed and prepared with focused intention, following the spiritual protocols of traditional Southern conjure. Our Mission Queen City Conjure exists to serve serious practitioners—those who understand that hoodoo is not a trend, but a living spiritual tradition. My mission is to Provide authentic, high-quality conjure products prepared with traditional methods Educate customers on the proper use and cultural context of hoodoo tools Preserve and honor the African American roots of this sacred work.
